I hate coldplay with a passion... some beatles is ok but i'm not a big fan... And similarly with Radiohead...

Nah actually I quite like Travis... a few of their songs at least... however apart from the singles I think 'The Man Who' was overated...

Elvis Presley at his worst was more engaging, more lively than Travis. Travis sound like a bunch of blokes on some unholy combination of Valium, liquor, Nico albums, and every other depressant known to man. And rather than make sadcore, they decided to go for dadrock, which they played with less verve than even Ocean Colour Scene. Which is something of an impressive achievement, I suppose: beating the kings of mediocrity at their own game.

I like bits n bobs of OCS too... not hugely... and yeah some Travis stuff is banal agreed... Oh and I HATE Elvis too... he wasn't even a good singer!!!... I could list a million other singers with better more interesting, deeper, more passionate, edgy, exciting, soulful, rangy voices than him... crooning - so fucking dull!!!...

Elvis ain't the King, but he's good enough. You can't touch "Moody Blue" or "Suspicious Minds."

How can you not love a song about deep throating ("Way Down")? Sung in a ridiculously "low" voice (haha, geddit?) And a top 20 single, no less!

Kentucky Rain is a beautiful, haunting song about desire and wanting someone who's not there...

And though the song itself is way overrated, the first few chords of Scotty Moore's second solo on "Hound Dog" are one of the Great Rock And Roll Moments.


Though, of course, Pet Shop Boys did "Always On My Mind" better.
