I am sad enough to know :
- The plane in the volcano video is a McDonnell Douglas DC3 Dakota from WW2 era.
- The plane on the front of sci-fi lullabies is an English Electric Lightning, from cold war era, photographed on the Otterburn firing ranges in Northumberland.
If there is a busted Dakota photo inside the Sci-Fi Lullabies booklet, I apologise.
I also apologise for being sad enough to know the above.
And I apologise for wearing a check shirt to the RAH gig.

Well I didn't think the plane looked EXACTLY the same as the one from sci-fi myself but I could see what Javvier was meaning... It is just a nice resemblance...!! Thanx for the info though lol!!!! And you wore a checked shirt at RAH lol???!!!

Checked shirt..... There's a post somewhere on here about "how you got into Suede"..... it's explained in there. From memory,. the post draws a parallel between competing for the front row with checked shirts during the Coming Up festival era. Very funny.

yes I realised later that they weren't the same but ...
both share that poetic loneliness, that timeless quiet abandonment ...

Sigur Ros, a steady cam Stanley Kubrick would have been jealous of, and a cosmic volcano are indeed a perfectly eclectic mix.
