THSH and Foyles present an evening with Brett Anderson, the founder and lead singer of the alternative rock band, Suede and one of the most iconic musicians of the 90s.
Coal Black Mornings is Brett’s evocative memoir of his childhood and early life, which recounts the creation of one of Britain’s most exciting and successful bands, Suede. From Hayward’s Heath and the grubby fringes of the Home Counties to the dizzying heights of rock stardom, in the book, Brett catalogues the intense relationships that make and break bands as well as the devastating loss of his mother.
Join us at this exclusive Birmingham event, which promises to be a unique evening, which like the book, will undoubtedly be both moving and funny.
Due to time constraints Brett will only be able to sign copies of Coal Black Morning.
*Please note that there are two types of ticket available for this event, Ticket Only and Book and Ticket. The Book and Ticket option will entitle you to a copy of Coal Black Mornings. (RRP £16.99) This can be collected from the Foyles stand on the evening of the event, or from Foyles, Grand Central Birmingham for up to 14 days after the event.
“A remarkable feat, utterly true. This decade’s A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius”
Douglas Coupland, author of Generation X and Girlfriend in a Coma
