WE ARE THE PIGS - Camden night *Britpop/Glam/New Wave/Punk*
I'm doing a one-off special of my (temporarily on-hold) club night WE ARE THE PIGS. Didn't see any harm posting it here; the more Suede fans the merrier...
(and if anyone wants to play, please get in touch via Facebook)
We Are The Pigs club, playing just the very best of:
90s / BRITPOP // GLAM ROCK // '77 PUNK // NEW WAVE // ALTERNATIVE ANTHEMS // THE SMITHS! (see below)
...Except... from 8:30pm the music will be played LIVE!
It's full bands playing around 3/4 songs each to ensure as much variety as possible - and the songs will all be EXCLUSIVELY from the WATPs playlists. After the acts there'll be even more drunken dancing with the WATPs DJs and the greatest tunes it's possible to play...
All British, no crap, and nothing from the last 10 years
Click the link below to have a look at the full We Are The Pigs playlists:

oh, isn't something else suede related happening that night?
Re: WE ARE THE PIGS - Camden night *Britpop/Glam/New Wave/Pu
always looks good and I always feel sad I am not in London and can't go - and also the fact I work that night!!!!
It's also cool that your name is 'Richey' - a perfect name as it always makes me think of Mr Manic....
Would have been hilarious if it had been on 7th December and you were looking for Suede fans to attend though!!!!

Is it wrong to suggest that Richey's disappearance was the best thing that happened to the Manics, aesthetically speaking?
Threads like this make me envy you Brits.

nights sux (where I work anyway!!!)
All I can say is that the Manics made better albums overall while Richey was still in the band...

As great as the first three records are, they don't have the elegance of the next two albums. Admittedly, TIMTTMY runs a bit long, and they rocked harder early on...but I think Nicky's lyrics inspired James to write better melodies.
