What a night!

we were treated with 'Introducing the band', 'This Hollywood Life', 'She', 'Trash', 'Drowners', 'Animal Nitrate', 'We are the pigs', 'Pantomime horse', 'By the sea', 'Killing of a flash boy', 'Filmstar', 'Can't Get Enough', 'Everything Will Flow', 'The Next Life', 'Asphalt World', 'So Young', 'Metal Mickey', 'Heroine', 'The Wild Ones', 'New Generation', 'Beautiful Ones'
Encore: 'The Living Dead' (brett solo), 'To The Birds', 'Saturday Night'

And by what Brett said, there will be more to come?

Gig opened doors at 6.30. Two warm-up bands, Suede grace us with their presence about 9.30. Over three hours of standing up, I was not a happy man. In fact I found it rather insulting. The first warm up band were ok, but the New York Pony Club outstayed their welcome, and cheers went up when, after 40 minutes, they announced their last song. (Note to Brett: Your fans are not 17 year old Wallflowers anymore, most of us do have work in the morning).

Suede were pretty good, weren't on long enough though, they also didn't change gear throughout the whole performance, which was a shame as it would have been nice if they had built the performance to a climax rather than the typical high octane ear bashing they have been doing since 1995.

I have seen a lot of bands, but what surprised me the most is that Brett didn't even acknowledge any of his band members, at any point during the gig. I have seen Bowie, Bryan Ferry, Radiohead, Morrissey a lot of the big artists, and they always Introduce the band members (Oh the irony).

It was wonderful to see Suede again, and they sound great live. It's just a shame that they haven't changed with the times. I'm just worried they will end up becoming their own tribute act.

It's nice to read an objective opinion.

bowie, ferry and morrissey are solo artists, it's normal they introduce their musicians
Brett could but I don't feel bad that he doesnt introduce the band members (like he probably does in his solo shows), as they're a band, just a "global" entité: suede
thanks for the pics sun !
