Re: dms - brixton academy 20-05-11

Yep another great night. Loved the rocked up Still Life outro - beats pressing play on a tape player any day of the week. Was good to hear Stay Together too, with I think a bit more effort out in than the last time I heard it at the ICA. Was really hoping they'd do Together as I've never heard them ...

Re: eurovision on Saturday!!

Yeah not a bad set of results I guess - shame about Albania, quite liked that one.

Am currently balancing out all that Euro-pop with the new AC/DC live DVD!

Re: eurovision on Saturday!!

I'm watching too - my housemate organises a Eurovision party at our house every year so I need to get myself in the mood...

Re: Brixton - Who's going and where are you staying?

The closing of the ticket hall during peak hours should make it slightly less intense hopefully!!!!
Don't bet on it - only tourists buy tickets these days. Route from Victoria to Pimlico looks dead simple, take a look on Google maps.

Re: Brixton - Who's going and where are you staying?

No need to panic - it's only a 15 minute walk from Victoria to Pimlico station if there is a problem and it looks a nice easy route. Don't think you'll have a problem getting out at Victoria after the gigs anyway, but just be prepared for them block all entry at Victoria if it gets particularly busy...

I'm London based too.

Mark - I'd suggest you consider avoiding Victoria tube station as access is a bit of an issue at the moment:

Re: She give a little bit of Latitude...

Well I think we've talked about Suede support acts before but a few have been good - Subcircus, Geneva and Black Box Recorder spring to mind. These day I think the standard of support acts in general has dropped a bit - lost of people going for the 'giving unsigned local acts an opportunity' angle -...
