Summer time

Post by sunshine »

Do you think it is better now or not?

I am happy that they are considering the change for the time in the UK (despite the Scottish) for the whole year so that we are here like most of Europe! So winter GMT + 1 and summer GMT + 2

Wow - I love the extra light in the evenings (although today was a bit of a let down), but I'm not sure about getting up in the dark in the winter - I've done that before in various jobs over the years and always found it a struggle. Being in the same time zone as the rest of Europe would have it's benefits though - especially for the industry I work in.

I quite like getting up in the dark. Gets me the feeling I'm really early and not too lazy.
And as I start very early I can finish around 4 or 5 and so have more of the day and I hate when it's dark already when I get home.

I don't mind so much, the problem though is that kids don't live by the clock. So it's going to take a while before summertime is fully implemented here ;-)

This thread only highlights the depressing nature of it getting dark at 5 pm.
