Just before the release of their hugely anticipated new album, Suede play New Slang just after their all ages set at All Saints Church. The eighth full length album from the indie-stalwarts, titled The Blue Hour follows on from 2016's Night Thoughts. We're super excited to have this iconic band return to New Slang for a 'career spanning set', this time in our new venue, Pryzm.

One of two Suede events on the same day, the other is an acoustic set at All Saints Church.

“‘The Blue Hour’ is the time of day when the light is fading and night is closing in,” said the band in a statement. “The songs hint at a narrative but never quite reveal it and never quite explain. But as with any Suede album, it’s always about the songwriting. The band, the passion and the noise: ‘The Blue Hour’.”

“It took about a year to write. That’s the hard part for me. Once the songs are there, then you can enjoy yourself to a certain extent. It all has to be framed within the context of songwriting. I don’t think anyone wants to hear a Suede ambient album. This isn’t.”

Doors are 7:00pm with Suede on at 8:00pm. There is no club night after the gig on this event.

This show is 14+. Under 14s must be accompanied by a ticket-holding adult (18+).
If you're over 18, valid photo ID (passport, driving licence, PASS card) is required for admission.

New Slang is held at Pryzm, 154 Clarence St, Kingston upon Thames KT1 1QP
