Absolutely stunningly beautiful and sad... Even in unmixed form 'Unsung' is amazing... And Andrew if your gonna say it isn't heartfelt in the way u did about 'The Next Life' just don't ok lol!!! The lyrics are beautiful and sum up in such a touching way the premature death of a close friend of Brett's....
"Soar like a love song
that stutters
all lifelong
yes life is
your love song
unsung....
and it's all in your head
and it's all in your head...
yes life is
your love song
unsung"
Such heartfelt lyrics - comparing the end of a dear friends life to being like a love song that is always going to be left unsung... tragic but beautiful...

I like the lyrics:
plans
all those intricate plans
left like gloves on the railings
slipping through your hands
clouds
those impossible clouds
are gathering now
soar like a love song
that stutters
lifelong unsung
soar like a swallow
that circles
lifelong unsung
and it's all in your head
and it's all in your head
and it's all slipping through your hands
soar like a love song
that stutters
all lifelong
and life is
your love song unsung
soar like a love song
yes life is
your love song unsung
and it's all in your head
and it's all in your head
and it's all...
soar like a love song
that stutters
all lifelong
yes life is
your love song unsung

Haha, yeah, I found it funny, mark. I don't take offense to much. I bet I could even pu tup with you while intoxicated (while you're intoxicated, that is).
What's this about an album every year? Too bad he couldn't do that, like that dude who's putting out one album for each of the 50 states...

Well glad you could see the funny side in it Andrew...!!
And well I can be a complete pain when drunk, I promise u...!!!
I've lost my ipod now too since i was pissed when i came home and was jumping around listening to it on saturday night!!! what a nightmare!!!
Brett said I think during the making of 'Wilderness' that he was hoping he could release a new album every year for the rest of his life after working so rapidly on that one (think it took him two weeks to record and complete!!!) and also with the new freedom he had of his own record label with no one above him dictating release dates and the freedom outside of a band set up to work at his own pace and also commented that he was feeling a period of great creativity and wanted to begin work on his next album almost as soon as he had completed the last one...!!! Also with less need for exstensive promotion and touring since his solo career compared to Suede I guess that has given him much more time too...!
so....
Brett Anderson (2007)
Wilderness (2008)
Slow Attack (2009)
? (2011) d'oh!!! hahahaha!!! almost but not quite!!! Still a pretty amazing achievement to have come up with 4 solo albums in 5 years!!!

he is releasing an album in 2010... as a part of a band, if that counts...
and we could also take in the 'live' album releases... so that will make more!
