Mark! Damn, we were on the same tube train then... crazy we were both there and didn't know. i would totally have said hello if I'd recognised you, but as I'm kind of realising now I don't know what any of you look like. haha!
I was supposed to be meeting an old friend in a pub before the gig, so I was in a crazy rush... Ended up jumping on th first bus that came, then got horribly lost when I got off it again. madness. Ended up getting to the pub, throwing a pint down our necks, and legging it to the academy. we got to the gig just as suede were coming on, then I had to say (and i havent seen him since 1997) 'I'm so sorry, but I cant stand here.... I'm going in!' So much for our big reunion, hehe. The front row was calling to me...

Still life was probably my favourite song of the 3 nights
they managed to make it sound as powerful and crescendo as the album symphonic orchestra version but with some kind of more wilderness
unfortunately none of the videos I've seen online really witnesses that, particularly when Richard starts to play electric guitar, can't hear it well on most videos
i guess you had to be there to know!

Yeah - I was fully expecting them to just play the orchestral backing track like they did at the ICA - then Neil swapped guitars and Simon picked up those mallets (I think that's the right term - just looked it up on Wikipedia). Sounded great.

Yes Urchin - same train and probably the same bus stop lol - I was probably even standing next to you for all I know!!!... Was waiting for a number 2 to stop but they kept on going past full or 'out of service'!!!! :( I saw some people nearby get onto different buses from the ones going to brixton - I just assumed they wetren't going to the gig - but it was probably you getting on the wrong bus lol...
