Everyone there cares? How do you explain Thatcher?

I was jagging you about the tosser thing...jeeze.


(I was going to use the eyeroll emoticon as a sign of penance/olive branch, but I couldn't find it...sod it.)

Thatcher was a political leader with an agenda - I am talking about the PUBLIC, fool!!! Politicans have allsorts of agenda's - Bush and Blair for example of course - I was talking about the public caring about these issues.... Same as with the students and the tuition fees - even though I believe that to be a totally ridiculous way to act but nevermind....

I was more referring to the fact that people kept voting for her...just as people here voted for Bush. : /

well they stopped voting for her after the poll tax riots... had she not have resigned/been forced to resign by her own party she would have been crucified in the next election methinks...

well, major was not much better!

No but I think people felt sorry for him because he was kind of a bemused guy who didn't really have the strength to lead the party convincingly.... hmmm Prime Minister's, they never seem to be much cop, whatever their political persuasion... I guess Blair was pretty successful despite being a bit of a dick...
