btw I saw the advert for the new Rod album on tv this morning - nearly put me off my breakfast!!! Like being forced to listen to fingernails down a chalkboard!!!! Having to listen to some old geezer croak flatly whilst he murders some classic songs ain't really my idea of fun!!!! You should know by now, people who are good at football don't make good singers - Chris Waddle, Terry Venables, Glenn Hoddle, Paul Gascoigne being just a few examples!!!....

Err, yeah...and the people who are actually excited about this (i.e., the people who couldn't be arsed to buy the CD's/box sets before) aren't exactly the market for a CD purchase...

I still don't see why people are so excited about this...hmm, you can buy the .mp3's for a buck a pop, or you can pick up the CD's (used) for about five bucks each...duh, I think I'll go with the lossy .mp3's.

...as the one person here who's vocally resistant to buying a compilation of Suede material that I already have, I think I'm the only one with the requisite authority to say something like that!

Well i'll be getting some of The Beatles mp3's because i've never been a big enough fan to actually buy the albums on cd...

And Andrew - just buy the damn Suede 'best of' already!!!!... Damn it! - now i'm starting to use americanisms like ".......already!"

...so why would you buy the .mp3's? Like I said, it's cheaper to buy the CD's used...at least around here...

I'll make you a deal; you buy an extra copy of the Suede Best Of and send it to me.

faces??? yeah right!!... Stones are the best rock band of all time and that is fact - buy 'Forty Licks' and you will understand - and if not you're a total fool!!! Marky has spoken and his word is final!!! btw The Who were a dreadfully overrated band - very boring...

At one point in my life, I owned at least a dozen Stones releases, including everything on 40 Licks...

You actually rate the Stones above the Pistols, Suede, and Oasis??!?!?!?!? (I'm assuming you consider them all rock bands)

no suede/oasis are indie/pop/rock while pistols are punk.... i couldn't even name a faces song!!!!!!!
