Line up across the three days is starting to take shape:

More announcements tomorrow apparently. Bit of a shame that The Vaccines are apparently clashing with Paloma Faith...

That's no excuse - if I remember rightly you're about the same age as me. I'm not familiar with a lot of the acts on the bill either so have used this as opportunity to get a little up to date, so in the last couple of weeks I've bought albums by The National, Foals, and the Vaccines. Fairly impressed with all 3 so far...

Guess I'll end up very familiar with Chapel Club by the time the Brixton gigs are done.

hmmm... In my experience most support bands seem to be fairly terrible to average but we'll see!!!!... I'm always open minded!!!!... :D

Well I think we've talked about Suede support acts before but a few have been good - Subcircus, Geneva and Black Box Recorder spring to mind. These day I think the standard of support acts in general has dropped a bit - lost of people going for the 'giving unsigned local acts an opportunity' angle - which conveniently also happens to be very cheap. British Sea Power supporting the Manics on their recent tour was a happy exception.

Hope there will be enough going on the Sunday at Latitiude to keep you entertained though Mark.

Decided if you're coming yet Sun?

Gareth.

I still remember v99 so fondly - Suede, Stereophonics, Happy Mondays, Cast, Cardigans... Well before last year i'd only ever seen Suede live a couple of times - I quite liked Charlotte Hatherley on the first Brett solo tour and The Departure were ok supporting The Tears (reminds me - i'm SURE I had a Tears t-shirt - but haven't seen it for ages - unless i'm imagining it lol)... :? General support is there just to warm things up - well something to look at/listen to while you're waiting - but i'm never very impressed - the festival stuff will probably be ok - i'm sure i'll wander round getting drunk or doing something until Suede come on!!!!... Whenever I go to a festival i'm always worried that i'm standing watching the wrong stage lol!!!...

Who's moving??? You sun??? Where are you moving to and why???!!!!.... :?
