Sonorama 14th Aug 2010

What a lovely night!
A different setlist that worked really well for a festival with 3 little surprises: 'Hymn', 'Wheatfields', 'The Hunted', 'Unsung', 'Brittle Heart', 'Unstoppable', 'Back to You', 'Ashes of Us', 'To the Winter', 'Love is Dead', 'Julian's Eyes', 'Swans' and 'Funeral Mantra'.
Band were playing alternatively in two differtent stages, so it was easy to flow around.
No Angie. But the boys were in total form... especially brett who seems to be mastering Spanish a bit better!

Totally agree with brett in 'Unsung' being a huge, anthemic beast (although he is a bit modest) and 'Brittle Heart' being a pounding kind of Krautrock... and I like the way 'Unstoppable' develops... if this is the direction of the new album, we will be more than spoiled.
Nice to see arturo there!

they did this last night:

Wendy Stubbs was on keyboard and backing vocals... I suppose that being used to Angie, she was just OK.

I think she rather has a great voice and sings really good
that just maybe doesn't suit very well to brett's voice on the 1st song, her voice seems too strong for some backing ahahahah
but i like it on the 2nd one
and in fact the more i listen the more i like it on the 1st one too
she makes me think a bit of a mixture of marianne faithful and tina turner

Thanks for the great pics Arturo - much appreciated!!!
omg you HAVE to be joking Florence???!!!
Her voice may be powerful but she sounds like some warbling old gran!!!
This kind of old fashioned warbled posh old lady voice!!!!
And she sings all over Brett in that 'Wheatfields' video - either they need to turn the mic down or just switch it off!!!... Marianne Faithful you say??!!! As I said - a posh warbling old gran lol!!!...
