No Andrew, 'Down' is most often the song I skip on Head Music - I mean I LOVE the outro and the lyrics to the chorus but it always was a MILLION times better live than on record....!!!! It's too slow and that IS one song where the lyrics are kinda playground - which doesn't suit the overall depth of the song - shame... It's weird because somedays I listen to it and decide I LOVE that song, others i'm like 'hmmmm' Some songs just seem that way... Generally speaking i'd take any of the other ballads on that album over that...

That 3 minute standing ovation after Metal Mickey and in the middle of the show is about one of the most memorable Suede moments of all time - truly spine-tingling - the looks on the boys faces was... well they were so touched... aaaaaaaaah !!!

"Down" is actually the reason why I bought HM...I'd heard the singles on Youtube and wasn't that impressed, and then I heard "Down" and said, "Heck, for a few bucks, at least I'll have one good song"...of course, now I love the whole damn thing.
