...when you inform them that you're a Suede fan?


To date, I have yet to find someone who is familiar with them. I don't know if that's good or bad.

hmmm - don't think The London Suede made too much of a splash over there did they???!!! I guess a few of u yanks like 'em though which is always nice!!!! Most people don't openly admit they have never heard of them - that always seems to be the youngsters - I remember one of my ex-managers once told me a number of years ago that they used to be a huge fan and had all the singles in the early days... So the reaction always varies - no one ever turns round and says "omg they're fucking shit"!!! lol!!! On another note I remember a few years ago the video for 'Positivity' being played on the big screen in one of the pubs in town which was rather surprising but nice and I remember 'Animal Nitrate' being played on the jukebox in my regular a few years ago too - I was singing along loudy (out of my head pissed!!!) and got some VERY strange looks!!!... I'd have been interested to have seen who had put it on in the first place!!!!

I can't tell you how many strange looks I get from drivers next to me at stop lights, when I've got some Britpop song jacked up and I'm singing along...

They're this pre-Britpop band that are basically comedy Bowie impersonators*.
