Yeah, pretty much. That and living vicariously through fictional characters who get far more in one night than I will in my life (c.f. just about any song on a Pet Shop Boys release).

Haha...but I'm really not taking the piss. I'm (foolishly?) open about pretty much everything on the Internet, whether it be my stagnated social life or my forbidden love of S/A/W era Kylie.
I'm relieved you don't find ill-advised honesty to be an aphrodisiac. But I guess the implication (that you get off on lies) is even more disturbing.

I'm very charming, but that's really not bragging, because I'm also blunt and ridiculously honest...which means that people are initially attracted to me (in a friendly sense) but quickly become disillusioned. At least on the Internet, people think I'm taking the piss or otherwise just being a jerk and don't care when I'm honest...
I like being called "sweet," even though I know it's not true. I'll take false/fake/misguided compliments where I can get them. How desperate is that?
