I don't really care lol, they used to be good but i've been kinda .... a bit uninterested last few years - they got a bit boring in the end...

Yeah, Oasis pretty much sucked after Be Here Now.

But fuck it, Blur's got nothing on them.

I like a few Blur songs, some are a bit pish though!!!! And it's impossible to like them too much as a Suede fan when Brett despises them sooooooooooooo much!!!!!

Now, now, "Parklife" is a class album except for the Alex James song, and Modern Life Is Rubbish is pretty good...

...but still nothing on Suede or the "singing electricians" or Sleeper or Echobelly or Menswear, not to mention Cast...

...and does Babybird count as "Britpop"?

I assume you're jagging me, though it's hard to tell with your minimalist posting.

So I'll play it safe and grumble.

...listening to Parklife this morning, I just want to say that if everything Blur did was on the level of "This is a Low," I'd probably be at Bluronline.com right now.

I LOVE 'This Is A Low', my favourite Blur song by.... a millenium!!!! Oh and most of those bands you mentioned are pretty average (although I have got songs on my ipod by all of them!), the likes of mansun, manic street preachers and pulp were a million times better than any of those!....

Mine too! I mean, my favorite Blur song by far...Parklife's such a weird album, because it's full of all these goofy pop songs, and then at the end, you get this soaring, beautiful track, and it's such a WTF? moment...

I hate Mansun, but I'll give you that the Manics are third only to Suede and Oasis...

But I stand by Sleeper as a great band. They just got better with each release; "Inbetweener" is a perfect single, and "The It Girl" has three or four even better ones. And "Pleased To Meet You" is Britpop's great lost album.

Sleeper are merely ok... sleeper aren't even the best female fronted brit band!!! - i'd rate garbage, echobelly, catatonia and elastica all ahead of sleeper!!!!

mansun are superb - wide open space, she makes my nose bleed, stripper vicar, taxloss, dark mavis, soundtrack 4 2 lovers, electric man, i can only disappoint you... etc, etc, etc - magnificent!... :D
