I thought that when they announced the line-up on XFM this morning. The only 1 that really stood out for me was Stevie Wonder. I thought because it was a big anniversary year the line-up would extra special but it appears not....... well that's only my humble opinion!
Headliners are U2, Muse and Stevie Wonder. I can take or leave U2, Muse are great but I've since this tour already - and both acts will be lacking their usual spectacle at a festival. Stevie Wonder has done anything of any merit in about 30 years so I'm not sure how he got the gig on the Sunday night.
I nearly ended up with tickets back before the line up was announced so I'm kinda glad I missed out. We opted for the Isle of Wight Festival instead.
That said I'm sure anyone who's going will have a good time...
yeah - this was supposed to be the special celebratory year and I thought the line up would be amazing - I actually quite like U2 but to be fair they are hardly an 'exciting' act if you know what I mean - much prefer their 80's stuff anyway....!
I thought last years lineup was really great - i've still got some of it recorded....
I'll admit I was half praying, if not expecting that Suede might put in an appearance! - but there are still some TBA and SPECIAL GUEST slots... - not holding my breath though...!!!
These New Puritans are on the John Peel stage so that'll be worth watching at least!!!!
