I have been reliably informed that ex-Suede guitarist Richard Oakes will be playing at The Albert, in Brighton, with his new band 'Art Magic Connection' on Monday June the 28th, alongside Brighton acts The Stars Down to Earth and The Valentines (both of whom are damn fine bands in their own right!).

hang on sorry let's get this right ok!!!! As we know Richard went travelling after the band split in 2003 and also started writing demos for songs a year or two later.... Then after a long spell of no news and while Brett was working on his solo stuff news started to filter that Richard was working with Sean McGhee on songs - later confirmed as a joint project (Sean vocals/production) richard (guitars) called 'Artmagic' .... There were supposed to be gigs for the new project back in March but delays with songs and the suede reunion delayed things too!!!! so basically Richard is still in Suede when they tour but as such he has this other band - the same way Simon still has 'Goo' and Brett is still continuing with his solo stuff... sorry for calling him ex-suede lol!!! I am so used to calling him that from before they reformed this year!!!!
