just listened to all three brett solos one after another plus b-sides, b-sides of the tears, and now sci-fi disc 2... am I obsessed ???!!! baring in mind my facebook username is 'mark likes suede' I guess I must be!!!!....

I think i'm hooked on Brett Anderson!!! I've been addicted for like, 15 years - I don't think there's any hope for me - in fact I feel like injecting him into my eyeballs right about now as a matter of fact!!!....

I love Brett too...just, oddly, only when he's working with significant collaborators...



I think I could say the same about John Lydon or Bernard Sumner or Pete Doherty. Even James Dean Bradfield solo sort of sucks.

hey, hey, hey - his solo is ok - very ballady but ok - some really nice tracks - nothing 'awesome' (yuck!) but still really pleasant - and sometimes music is nice just to be 'pleassant' - not always, but sometimes.... oh and to me his new stuff sounds great, i've got a feeling his next solo will be the best so far... I LOVE Brittle Heart... and Unsung!!!... This Must Be Where It Ends will be a corker too, trust me!!!...

- Nashville Skyline
- Camelot/Mary Poppins/etc.
- swingin' Frank Sinatra


...not that Brett's stuff is bad, just that I don't think 'pleasant" is his forte.
